Hog Roast Newark-on-Trent’s Festive Menu Has Something For Everyone!

Remember when Wizzard wished for it to be Christmas every day? Well, here at Hog Roast Newark-on-Trent, that’s exactly what it feels like for us from November onwards.

Each morning, our caterers wake up anticipating whatever Xmas-related event lies ahead of them, which this year especially has been a welcome sensation. And, now that we’re within touching distance of the big day, we thought we’d take this opportunity to share with you one of our favourite festive bookings from 2021!

Looking back to the beginning of December, we stayed local to help Aarsleff Ground Engineering throw their yearly office party. The company, which has been going since the late 1980s, is one of the top Piling, Geotechnical, Sheet Piling, Retaining Wall and Ground Engineering contractors in the entire country; and they regularly take on contracts that range from small residential jobs to multi-million-pound installation projects for leading clients in the rail, energy, commercial and infrastructure sectors. Given Aarsleff Ground Engineering’s tremendous success, it was a huge honour for Hog Roast Newark-on-Trent to be able to work with them on this occasion.

As the marketing coordinator, Louise had been the one to contact us and set up a booking for our Full Festive Menu on behalf of the client. She also let our catering manager, Rob, know that there would be 80 mouths to feed, some of whom were either vegan or vegetarian, so a meat-free option was necessary, in addition to the complete turkey spread.

Hog Roast Newark-on-TrentCatering to different dietary needs is never a problem for Hog Roast Newark-on-Trent, and when it came time to celebrate, the team worked diligently to prepare a finger-lickin’ buffet that centred around a moist and juicy turkey with homemade stuffing and cranberry sauce. To complement the star attraction, they whipped up an abundance of sides that included cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, seasonal veg, roasties and gravy. Those who didn’t eat meat were instead offered our flavoursome grilled vegetable kebabs with flatbreads and tzatziki dip.

The Festive Menu was a big hit, and once everyone had finished devouring the main course, Hog Roast Newark-on-Trent brought out our delicious mince pies and hot drinks, which went down very well with the weather being so chilly!
