Here at Hog Roast Manthorpe, we do things a little differently to any other catering company. We are original. Of course, we are famous for our tender, gorgeous hog but we can cater for all types of taste buds! We don’t just offer a variety of menus, we also ensure we can bring our fun team to any kind of event, whether it be a wedding, christening child’s party or a simple birthday. Earlier this month, we were contacted regarding the unfortunate circumstance of a wake. Our team were happy to cater for this and we arranged to be at the chosen event around mid-morning. The grieving husband that called us, Liam, was wanting our services as his wife, Dora, loved a hog roast. He explained that this would be a perfect way to celebrate her life.
We arrived at the chosen venue at 11am and began setting up, one of our professional chefs began rubbing the meat with the salt rub and the hog was ready by 2pm. The guests began to fill the village hall and queue up for their meals. They chatted about the funeral service and as they tucked into the buffet, they explained to us that it was Dora’s favourite food. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the views were beautiful from the back window. We had located our machine near the balcony so the guests could enjoy our food with a view. The menu included a large hog roast, herb and butter potatoes, floured bread rolls, an array of salads and of course, our famous crispy crackling.
We were personally thanked by Liam and the rest of the family for creating such a beautiful spread and spreading joy throughout the day. Here at Hog Roast Manthorpe, no matter what the event, we always ensure we take a positive and bright approach.
