Lola is expecting her first baby this summer and is currently enjoying all of the pampering that comes with your first pregnancy. Her sister has organised a baby shower for her to enjoy at a function room local to their home in Lincolnshire, with 40 of their friends and family. The baby shower will be a great way to share gifts and well wishes, as well as enjoy a delicious lunch and play some party games and activities. For the catering, Hog Roast Hibaldstow was hired to provide a casual buffet for the occasion, with two courses of delicious dishes. For the main meal, our catering manager Rob was asked to provide a classic hog roast, followed by a dessert course with 4 options and fresh tea and coffee.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Hibaldstow team arrived at the venue and began preparing our catering. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection. Once ready, the pork was carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For the side dishes, we also served homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes.
Following the main course was a delicious dessert course, consisting of profiteroles, sticky toffee pudding, chocolate torte, and fresh fruit salad. The dishes were all served with fresh fruit and English cream, as well as hot tea and coffee.
