For Josie’s wedding day, she wanted to enjoy a menu that was on-trend, yet still filling and delicious. Her guest list included people of all ages, including young family members and friends her own age, so the menu also needed to be suitable for all 40 of her guests, including meat-free options. When planning her catering, she contacted Hog Roast Grantham to find out which of our menus would be perfect for her big day. She came across our alfresco menu and immediately knew that it was the right choice as it includes a contemporary starter followed by a hearty and delicious main meal. She booked her date and the Hog Roast Grantham team got to work planning this menu!
On the day of the wedding, our catering began with a delicious alfresco starter consisting of sharing platters served tableside. The platters included gourmet cheese and sliced meats, fresh bread, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and seasonal greens. Overall, this created a light and delicious starter with plenty for the guests to enjoy.
For the main meal, we provided a delicious slow-roasted hog, served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. We also provided succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages. The rolls were served with homemade chips and seasonal salad dishes to create a varied and delicious meal.
To finish the menu, we served a selection of desserts to the guests, each of which perfectly complimented the incredible wedding cake provided by the couple.
