When Lizzie’s daughter Alice reached out to us about catering for her mums 50th birthday, we knew we needed to do something special! A 50th birthday should be a huge celebration surrounded by friends and family, with great music and delicious food.. and this is where we came in!
Alice was planning an outdoor birthday celebration in July for her mum, who is a big fan of gardening and growing her own flowers, fruits and vegetables. Because of this, Lizzie’s garden is beautiful and vibrant, making it the perfect venue to host a birthday party! At Hog Roast Greatford, we can cater indoors and outdoors, depending on what your event requires, and we were more than happy to spend a day cooking in the sunshine for Lizzie and Alice!
The menu we provided was once decided by Alice, based around her mum’s favourite foods, as well as few classic dishes that would appeal to everyone. For the main meal, we provided a succulent, juicy pig that had been cooked by our Hog Roast Greatford chef to perfection on site for over 6 hours, accompanied by jacket potatoes, bread rolls, wraps and side salads. The guests could taste the freshness in their food and it was exciting for them to see all of their dishes prepared before their eyes.
Once the main course had been eaten, we then moved onto dessert. We had provided a range of different options, including cheesecake and fruit salad, along with the birthday cake that Alice had handmade! The desserts went down like a treat and all of the guests were more than satisfied with the quality and taste of our menu.
Lizzie’s 50th birthday party was just one of the many birthday celebrations we are lucky enough to be a part of.
