For Macy’s baby shower, her best friend organised a wonderful event at a local function toom in Lincolnshire. Since this was Macy’s first baby girl, the shower was entirely pink-themed, with a pink dress code, décor, and pink-themed party games! For the menu, our catering manager Rob was hired to provide two courses- a classic buffet lunch and a delicious dessert course. For the lunch, we planned to serve a classic hog roast as this is a simplistic yet delicious main meal, followed by an extravagant and tasty dessert course with plenty of dishes to choose from!
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast North Hykeham team arrived at the function room in the morning and began to prepare for the 1:00pm mealtime. We started by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection. Once ready, it was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. We also served homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes to create a varied and tasty buffet lunch.
For the desserts, the guests chose from chocolate torte, summer pudding, profiteroles, and sticky toffee pudding. We served each dish alongside English cream and fresh berries to create a dessert course that looked and tasted incredible!
