At Hog Roast Chapel Saint Leonards a lot of us perhaps gave up the dream of putting on our football boots and scoring a late match winner – after 20 years in business you kind of settle into the idea that perhaps catering is the path you’re meant to be on rather than an athletic one – but at the very least we can still provide a just and delicious reward for those that still can!
Yes, Hog Roast Chapel Saint Leonards were invited out to the local girl’s youth team for their derby match against their fierce rivals the other week, and with it being 3 years as an established club too it was a particularly special match day. The team and all the staff at the club wanted to mark it with a special after match barbecue, so the club’s coordinator Ian was promptly on the phone to the Hog Roast Chapel Saint Leonards team to invoke our delicious catered services.
Kitted out in our “matchday” uniform of aprons and our Hog Roast Chapel Saint Leonards shirts and chefs jackets, the Hog Roast Chapel Saint Leonards team showed up to the clubhouse early in the day to start up our hog roast to ensure it would be just perfect by full time. In between preparing our many other meats and accompaniments for the barbecue the team were also delighted to be able to take in a lot of the girl’s match, and what an exciting and ferocious one it was! No love was certainly lost between these two rivals, but with a dramatic late winner for our customers it was the perfect note to get a barbecue started on. No greater a reward for a team of winners than a gourmet barbecue of homemade meats and fresh foods.
Our chef pulled apart our hog roast to make it a perfect filling for a roll, while the barbecue attachment of our roast machine also allowed us to cook up a huge batch of homemade beef burgers, gourmet sausages, chicken legs, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, and an accompaniment of fries and roast potatoes to the side with fresh coleslaw and a season mixed salad. The perfect refuelling for a long afternoon of sporting and winning prowess!
