Charity balls are a great way to fundraise, while also getting to enjoy a night of luxury and style. One important aspect of any ball is the catering, which is expected to be formal and of excellent quality. At Hog Roast Tuxford, our team has plenty of experience with formal dining, making us the perfect team for the job. Here is what you can expect when you book in with us this spring…
Max works at a charity dog shelter in Lincolnshire and is currently organising a ball to raise funds for the shelter. The ball will be a formal event taking place at an elegant function room in the city, with a black-tie dress code, a live band, a formal dinner, and a ‘dog-walk’ (a catwalk showcasing many lovely dogs in their care!). For the menu, Hog Roast Tuxford has been hired to cater for the event, with our manager Rob on hand to discuss what to expect from our formal dining package. It was decided that this would be the ideal menu for the occasion since it would be a perfect fit with the luxurious and elegant tone intended for the evening.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Tuxford team is finalising the details of the delicious three-course menu. We will begin by serving a classic homemade soup of the day, which is a filling and warming way to start the meal. Enjoying our soup is a great introduction to our catering while leaving plenty of room for the mains.
The star of this menu is our classic slow-roasted hog, which will be cooked to perfection on the day of the event. Once the succulent hog has been carved by our chef, it will be accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, and served alongside seasonal roasted vegetables and baby potatoes. This combines to create a hearty and delicious main meal, with plenty for everyone to enjoy,
Finally, we will be serving a choice of sticky toffee pudding and chocolate torte, with each dish accompanied by English cream and fresh berries. No one can resist our desserts and these delicious options will make it hard to choose a favourite!
