Normally with corporate catering you would assume that our work would mostly be done at office spaces and work sites. That does tend to be the case at Hog Roast Grantham. But, we have also been providing corporate catering services for over three decades and so we have seen firsthand how the work environment has changed and shifted in that time. It has been a rapid change particularly in the last few years as at home and remote working becomes more and more common.
So, how might that change things for a corporate caterer like Hog Roast Grantham? With less businesses working at the office all week, there is sometimes less of a need for lunchtime dining to be brought to their workplaces. There is either no staff there at all or not quite enough on-site to justify ordering for catering. But what if you could still add a business bought lunch into the working day, even if all of your staff were working at home?
Well that was the question pondered by a new corporate client of ours. Jared, who heads up his own small marketing business, wanted to treat his team of 5 to a business lunch. The only issue is they do not have a traditional office space that they all work at. Sometimes they will rent out a co-working space if they do need to get together, but the majority of their time working is done remotely with everyone at home. Still, however, for the work completed on their recent project Jared wanted to surprise everyone. So, he called up Hog Roast Grantham to see how well we could handle catering in several places at once. It sounded like a challenge, but it was one we were up for!
To pull it off, Jared called for a remote meeting just before lunchtime. This meant that everyone would be at their desk all at the same time, and Hog Roast Grantham could then coordinate with Jared to be ready at their door with a fresh and hot hog roast lunch to enjoy. The timing just about worked perfectly and not a single member of staff knew the surprise was coming. Everyone got to enjoy an extended lunch break to pore over our delicious catered lunch, and we got to say that we did something completely new with our corporate catering!
