Spitting Pig Lincolnshire at the Vintage Tractor and Engine Society Annual Meet

Spitting Pig LincolnshireOn Sunday 27th July 2025, Spitting Pig Lincolnshire had the pleasure of catering a much-loved community event — the annual meeting of the Vintage Tractor and Engine Society. Held at The Barn in Market Rasen, near Wragby, the gathering welcomed around 100 guests for a day of nostalgia, heritage, and local pride.

With a stunning display of classic tractors and engines on show, the event was a dream for enthusiasts and curious visitors alike. Guests spent the morning admiring the impressive collection of restored machines, swapping stories of past projects and enjoying the relaxed rural setting. The Barn’s peaceful countryside surroundings provided the perfect backdrop, with open fields and blue skies helping to create a laid-back, enjoyable atmosphere.

Spitting Pig LincolnshireAt midday, Catering Manager Rob and the Spitting Pig team served up a traditional hog roast – a popular addition to the day’s activities. The slow-roasted pork was a real crowd-pleaser, and we also offered vegetarian and vegan options, along with gluten-free rolls to make sure everyone could enjoy a tasty lunch. It wasn’t a fussy sit-down meal – just simple, hearty food that fuelled guests for the rest of the day.

Conversations flowed as visitors tucked into their meals, from tales of farming days gone by to updates on current restoration projects. The event wasn’t just about the machinery – it was a celebration of shared passion, community, and connection.

We’d like to thank Edward and the Vintage Tractor and Engine Society for inviting us to be part of such a special day. Spitting Pig Lincolnshire is always proud to support local events like this, and we look forward to many more Sundays filled with good food, good company, and a touch of vintage charm.
