One of the great traditions we have in the Uk is Shrove Tuesday, or otherwise more popularly known as Pancake Tuesday. It is a day that marks the beginning of lent, putting us on the road to Easter and that elusive four day bank holiday weekend.
Aside from the religious reasons for the holiday, most popularly many of us will use Shrove Tuesday to go all out with a delicious sweet feast of pancakes and other sweet treats that may otherwise be getting given up during lent. We had a good few Pancake Tuesday events to visit throughout Lincolnshire. Turns out, when folks are staring in the face of forty days without their favourite treats they tend to want to make the last hurrah really count. Well count it most certainly did as far as Hog Roast Woodhall Spa were concerned! When called upon to provide a great big comforting feast, we are second to none!
While our signature skill is in authentic hog roast cooking, our veteran chefs are more than equipped to take on some masterful pancake flipping. For many an event we had full on dining experiences with starters, mains, and then the all-important pancake dessert. For others, we had buffets on the go and a pancake follow-up, and for many more it was just pancake dining all the way down!
Only a few were brave enough to see how our famed hog roast would taste on a pancake. We knew from the off that it would be a great idea.
