It is true that while Hog Roast Grantham loves its traditions and its classic roasts, all that we do is anything but ordinary. The Sunday roast, one of the most popular meals in the UK is a staple of our comforting style of dining, but here at Hog Roast Grantham our Sunday roast comes with a little mor style, a little more novelty, a little more peculiarity to it. While of course it starts with one of the most traditional of all roasts in event dining, a pork roast, the style in which we cook and serve is anything but regular.
That is why Anne, a Grantham local celebrating her 60th birthday, came to Hog Roast Grantham in the first place. Wanting a Sunday roast with a twist to celebrate her 60 years on this earth with friends and family, Anne came looking to the very caterers that do Sunday roasts in unique style. What we loved about working with Anne is that she kept on wanting to add even more to the occasion. For some, our signature hog roast may have been all the “Sunday roast twist” required, but for Anne our menu offered so much more to play around with. So, collaborating with our catering manager Rob, Anne added even more surprising and delicious twists to her Sunday roast menu.
Our hog roast, cooked in the signature spit roast style for even more novelty and quality, was accompanied by its regular additions of sage and onion stuffing, golden crackling, and freshly made apple sauce. Where the added twist comes in were the additions from our gourmet barbecue menu: peri marinated roasted chicken thighs and gourmet style grilled sausages. These were then accompanied by our herb dressed new potatoes, veg and halloumi skewers, gluten free rolls, and a follow up dessert option of profiteroles and cheesecake served buffet style.
For Anne and her 20 guests, this was a wonderful Sunday lunch with a difference, courtesy of Hog Roast Grantham. A true testament to the kind of wonderful woman Anne is and how excellent her 60 years have been with friends and family!
