Recently, our team at Hog Roast Boston were given the opportunity to cater for the company, “Integrated Health Projects” in order to celebrate the completion of the main structure of a new building. This was the equivalent of an old school topping out ceremony – which is a traditional construction ritual carried out when the main structure of a building is finalised.
Here at Hog Roast Boston, we know that hard work is hungry work! We also know that the construction staff have been working incredibly hard to get this structure done so we made sure to hook them up with the best catering company in town (us, of course). We sorted out those hungry bellies with our Southern Slow Roast Menu which includes the following: crispy BBQ pork butt (despite the misleading name, this is the shoulder of the pig), 24 hour, juicy beef brisket – a true melt in your mouth staple, and Cajun spiced chicken. For the vegetarian guests, we grilled up some colourful vegetable and halloumi skewers that were absolutely bursting with fresh and cheesy flavours – each platter was served with a selection of airy white or brown rolls or a soft tortilla (with gluten free rolls upon request).
And naturally, no good meal is truly complete without some show-stopping sides. We served a tangy coleslaw with thinly shredded veg and a creamy mayo, and a hearty mac n’ cheese to go with the meats, also a mixture of sweet potato and traditional chips, double fried for extra crisp. Each meal was served on wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery which is not only sustainable but makes an easy cleanup for the crew.
Each guest was also given a complimentary drink of either bottles water or a chilled soft drink to wash their meals down and refresh them for the warm summer sun.
Hog Roast Boston loved this event, the team loved getting to the chatty construction staff learning about their work that often goes underappreciated. We really hope to get the chance to come back and chat to you all again as soon as we can! Thank you for choosing Hog Roast Boston!
