Wedding Hog Roast Scampton

Unique, memorable and most importantly delicious, Hog Roast Scampton help create some of the most spectacular weddings that your guests will remember forever. We cater for a wide range of weddings whether small, large, casual, formal, indoor or outdoor! And for Saturday’s special occasion we were privileged to be asked to cater for the new Mr and Mrs Stevens (Adam and Marie) at a quaint country pub. The wedding venue had both indoor and outdoor areas but the real star of the show was the venue’s patio area. Outside was a beautiful patio area with a small picturesque stream running under a bridge at the bottom of the garden. There was plenty of tables and chairs for the guests appropriately situated just by our gazebo where our spit roasts could be observed whilst we cooked up some tasty food.

One of the most important aspects of catering for any event and I feel particularly weddings is the value of really getting to know each couple we have the privilege to work with to ensure all their requests and wishes can be accommodated. We carry this approach throughout our work, especially when the couple make their food choices. For Adam and Marie a really important aspect for them was making sure that there was a tasty vegetarian option available as several of their guests didn’t eat meat. As a real meat lover I previously found coming up with delicious veggie dishes a challenge however since the Hog Roast Scampton team perfected our vegetarian options we are confident that our non-meat dishes are just as moreish and mouthwatering as our spit roasts! We also ensure that we had extra sides available at Adam and Marie’s wedding as they are all vegetarian and popular with all guests! For this occasion we served a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad, roasted vegetable pasta salad and seasoned jacket potato wedges – One of my favourites, crispy outsides and hot fluffy middles! For the meaty mains we slow roasted ethically sourced spring lamb, complete with plenty of fresh rosemary and Yorkshire puddings. The guests enjoyed their piled high plates of main dishes before a short interval for the cheesy dad speech and the laughter ensued best man’s photo presentation. Finally, with rested bellies we served up a choice of gorgeous desserts including a home comfort style sticky toffee pudding and a lighter chocolate profiterole option. Delicious!
