As we head into the summer we know we are going to be serving up a lot of hog roasts at our Hog Roast Spalding events. It’s a summer favourite for good reason. It looks spectacular when you have an outdoor event as our traditionally made hog roast is cooked in the authentic spit style, bringing out a brilliant fiery and aromatic spectacle at the centre of your summer events.
But though we are expecting to be serving up hundreds of hog roasts over the next few months at our Hog Roast Spalding events, we’re not likely to get sick of doing so anytime soon. That is because, for one, it’s always a fun and spectacular experience every time we do so. But the other aspect of our hog roast is that it alone can be a versatile dish, meaning every time we do serve it this summer it could be entirely different.
When you roast an entire pig in one go that leaves a lot of options open for how you can then serve it. There are plenty of different cuts that our expert chefs could make to serve up a variety of dishes. There are also different ways of prepping it after it has been cooked. For a warm summer’s day outside, pulled pork for roll and wrap fillings is an excellent choice. Our chefs will hand pull your meat hot from the pig while it is still on the spit, meaning you are getting fresh meat for your roll every time you come to be served.
Or, instead of hand pulled our Hog Roast Spalding chefs can expertly carve up your roast for use in a more traditional roast dinner. Pair our finely carved pork slices with some roasted or herb dressed new potatoes, some roasted veg, salad, our stuffing, gravy or apple sauce, and you have a catered meal worth any event!
So, how you will you enjoy your hog roast this summer with Hog Roast Spalding? Pulled, carved or maybe another way? Let us know for your event today!
