Hog Roast Grantham Catered For An Exotic Kid’s Party!

Hog Roast Grantham recently attended a birthday party that had been in the works for months – and boy was it worth the wait! As a huge fan of exotic creatures, birthday boy Murray had asked to have his 10th birthday party at an animal park that predominantly features snakes, tortoises and terrapins, tropical birds, monkeys and creepy crawlies. His parents had agreed, and mum, Helen, set straight to work organising the occasion for Murray and 15 of his friends.

Hog Roast Grantham After securing the venue for the day, it was time to start thinking about the food and to keep the kids from going hungry, she had placed a booking with Hog Roast Grantham for our Southern Slow Roast Menu. This feast, which draws inspiration from Deep Southern cuisine, was ideal for the occasion and allowed the kids to choose from a buffet of Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, BBQ pork butt and, as an added extra, our famous handmade British beef burger patties, which were presented on brioche buns with melting cheese, crunchy iceberg lettuce, fried onions and a slice of juicy tomato. Helen had also asked us to include a single portion of our BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls for one of the guests who was vegan. For sides, she picked out our Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, buttery corn cobettes, mixed fries and our creamy mac and cheese dish.

On the day of the party, Hog Roast Grantham arrived at the venue hours before the celebrants, and after being guided through to the function hall by the sanctuary staff, our team instantly set up shop and began grilling the meats and prepping the sides in anticipation of the guests’ arrival. Time seemed to fly by then, and before anyone knew it, the space was flooded with screams of joy from the exhilarated children who had just finished their tour of the sanctuary, where they were able to experience up-close and personal encounters with most of the animals on-site. The afternoon’s excitement made for hungry work, so they were glad of the amount of tasty food on offer, which was rounded off with a big slice of chocolate gateau!
